Performance Physical Therapy

Recover Stronger. Perform Better.

Initial Assessment

We begin with a thorough evaluation of your movement patterns, strength, mobility, and any specific areas of discomfort or concern. Our expert therapists will take the time to understand your athletic goals, past injuries, and functional demands to develop a personalized plan for improving your performance. Using advanced techniques and a holistic approach, we’ll identify any limitations or imbalances, and set you on the path to recovery and enhanced performance.

[P]rehab

Prehab is a proactive approach to preparing your body for surgery by maximizing movement efficiency, strength, and mobility before the procedure. By focusing on improving these areas in advance, we can help reduce recovery time, minimize post-surgical complications, and enhance overall outcomes. This tailored program targets the specific muscle groups and joints that will be impacted by surgery, giving you a stronger foundation for a quicker, more effective rehabilitation.

Injury & Post-Surgical Recovery

Accelerate your recovery from injury and surgery by focusing on rebuilding strength, mobility, and function. Our expert therapists use a personalized, sport-specific approach to help you regain peak performance and return to your activities safely and efficiently. Whether recovering from an injury or post-surgery, we provide the targeted care you need to heal faster and perform better than before.

Performance Enhancement

You don't need to be injured to optimize your performance. Our hands-on manual therapy and corrective exercise techniques are specifically designed to improve your movement patterns and overall function. By addressing imbalances and correcting movement deficiencies, we help prevent future injuries and enhance your athletic performance.

Integrated Performance Training

Our integrated team takes a holistic approach to health, fitness, and performance, ensuring you receive comprehensive care tailored to your needs. Our physical therapists work closely with strength coaches to develop a personalized program that not only supports recovery but also maximizes long-term success. Together, we focus on building strength after rehab to help you stay strong and perform at your best. Did you know that incorporating strength training after rehab can reduce the risk of re-injury by up to 50%?

Injury Risk Assessment

Designed to identify potential injury risks before they become a problem, using a thorough evaluation of your movement patterns, strength, and mobility. Led by experienced performance physical therapists, we assess your specific biomechanics and athletic demands to pinpoint areas of vulnerability. Based on the results, we create a personalized prevention plan to address imbalances, improve movement efficiency, and reduce the risk of future injuries, helping you stay healthy and perform at your best.

 Frequently Asked Questions

  • The good news is NO.

We are an out-of-network provider, meaning we do not directly participate with any insurance plans. This isn’t as bad as it seems. Many insurance companies do offer out-of-network benefits; and if you choose to submit for reimbursement with your insurance, we’ll provide an invoice that includes your diagnostic and treatment codes. If you’re curious about this option, call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask, “What are my out-of-network physical therapy benefits?”

  • By being out-of-network, insurance cannot dictate the care that you receive. You can be treated like the individual that you are. You get quality time with the clinician, the care that you actually need, and no unexpected bill with additional charges.

Another benefit of out-of-network care is that, if needed, we can also spend time working on wellness, return-to-sport, and performance improvement activities. These are not reimbursed in traditional clinics and therefore rarely, if ever, offered. Patients who’ve experienced a cash-based model often report needing less visits and a quicker return to activity.

More personalized care and faster results… It's better for you. It’s better for us.

  • Because we do not participate in Medicare (a federal government program), we cannot provide therapy services for Medicare patients. Ouch, right?

That said, it is possible to participate in a wellness/maintenance program, which is not considered a medical treatment by Medicare. If you’re interested, send us an email or set up a phone call so we can chat more about how this works.

  • Yes! … (that was an easy one)

  • Nope! North Carolina is what’s called a direct-access state, meaning you can directly access a Doctor of Physical Therapy without needing a referral from another provider.

Don’t worry, we’re trained to screen for red flags or conditions that are outside our scope of practice and will refer accordingly. In many cases, we can help you get an appointment with other providers sooner than you would trying to call on your own.

Many athletes unknowingly delay their time to treatment by getting (often unnecessary) urgent care visits, orthopedic appointments, and expensive imaging, ultimately just to be referred to Physical Therapy anyways!

Save time. Save money. Feel better faster. Come see us!

  • Nope. And this is something you should totally take advantage of. What’s the best way to treat an injury? … Prevent it in the first place! Physical Therapists are movement experts. We excel at identifying movement dysfunctions and imbalances that may be causing a current injury, or can lead to future injury.

We also provide performance therapy designed to optimize your body and enhance performance. Want to perform better? Schedule today!
